Sometimes the church misses what's important in the dialogue about the relationship between homosexuality and the Church.  We're inclined to talk about "issues" and fail to recognize we're talking about people.  We need a way forward that honours the experience of people while at the same time calling everyone to walk in the ways of flourshing that God directs us to through the Scriptures.

This seminar is designed for God's people to hear the stories of two people who have grown up connected to the church while coming to terms with their own feelings of same-sex attraction.  Through their stories we come to learn how the Church has both harmed and helped, with the hope that MCA Church would become a safe place for people to find the fulness of life in Jesus.  These stories come from two friends connected to Journey Canada in Vancouver.

The format of the evening will include introductions, sharing of these two stories, and an opportunity for questions.  The intent of the seminar is not to discuss the varied opinions on the subject of homosexuality, but to speak from the traditional view that the Church has held on the subject in an attempt to become a more loving and effective community for the Kingdom of God.

 Everyone is welcome to attend!
