It was only a week ago that our building was buzzing with activity as our Kids Day Camp: Cave Quest was well underway. With 180 children, ages 4-11, we were thankful to have 90 volunteers making everything run smoothly. More than that, we were thankful to have each of those volunteers pouring out their love and passion for Jesus, through their gifts, into the lives of our children!

From dynamic and engaging main sessions to action packed games, interactive bible adventures, crazy imagination station experiments, and real life stories in KidVid, this camp was one to remember. It was through all of these elements and more that the kids learned what it means to follow Jesus and how to shine His light in the world. We’re excited to say that 16 of the kids at camp gave their lives to Jesus for the very first time and are now spreading His light into our city.

We also challenged our campers to think beyond the walls of the church and engage the needs of our world. We spent the week fundraising money for Living Waters Village, an organization in Indonesia, that takes in neglected children and provides them with food, housing, education, medicine and Jesus love. The kids accepted the challenge and raised $1560.27!

Camp would not have been the success it was had it not been for the tremendous team of volunteers, those who donated in a multitude of ways, and all those who covered it in prayer. To all of you, Ginger and I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks.
