The Board of Elders met on Tuesday, September 22nd for our regular monthly meeting During this meeting we spent time focusing on three main areas: Prayer for our church, Spiritual Development, and Governance matters. Here is a brief overview of our meeting:

1. Prayer - Each month we spend time praying for our church and for the requests that have been brought to us specifically, as well as individuals and ministries that God places on our hearts. This month we were especially thankful for the start to the new ministry year and for all the volunteers. We continue to pray for our church members who are struggling with illness and ask that God would draw near to those who are walking through a tough season. As we work through the Living Witness sermon series we ask you to pray with us for opportunities to be a light in our city.

2. Spiritual Development - A new season brings new focus and we are looking forward to having Ric provide some in-depth teaching on praying for others.

3. Governance Matters - This month we spent time reviewing the MCA Safety & Risk Management Policy as well as the MCA Privacy Policy. There were no updates made to either of these documents, and all year-end financial documents have been submitted for review ahead of the AGM in November.

4. Financial Reports July and August were reviewed and approved. July 31st was the end of the fiscal year and we are thankful for your ongoing, faithful giving that allowed us to end the year on a positive note.

We are thankful for all of you and what God is doing in our midst. We covet your prayers for our congregation, your pastors and staff, your board, and for this city and the world beyond.
