While Canada has implemented a strategy of social distancing, we need not experience spiritual distancing. Watch the video below or click here to see how MCA Church will respond in the days ahead.
We believe God is calling us to three specific things: Care, Prayer, and Worship. Here is how you can press in and be part of what God is doing among us.
As we face this crisis together we have an opportunity to care for one another, as Jesus calls us to do. Some among us will require help getting food or prescriptions, others will need support as they face anxiety, worry, or loneliness and need our prayer. Others among us will be able to help - with deliveries, a friendly phone call to check in, and, of course, prayer! As such, we are coordinating a church-wide care strategy. You will receive a phone call from one of our staff to see how the people of MCA Church can help you or how you might be part of providing care to a few people in your neighbourhood.
You can also fill out this form to tell us how you can help or if you are in need of assistance.
In John 13:34-35 Jesus says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
We want to call our people to pray. Prayer is both an acknowledgement of our need for God and a participation in his redemptive purposes in the world. These Prayer gatherings will happen online, through a program called Zoom. Simply click the link provided and you will be able to join the prayer group through your computer. If you do not have a computer you can call into the prayer meeting using your telephone and entering our meeting number (more details to follow).
Our first mid-week prayer gathering will take place Thursday March 19th, at 10:00am or 7:00pm. Starting next week we will hold these regular mid-week prayer gatherings every Wednesday at 10:00am or 7:00pm.

We will continue to gather together for Sunday morning worship at 9:30am, through a video feed online. Because the medium through which we meet for worship will be different, the way we worship will also be a bit different. This Sunday we will focus our time on 3 things: Word, Prayer, and Conversation. We want to turn to God's word for encouragement, we want to pray, and we want to address your specific questions in light of these past few weeks. Conversation will happen through the chat function connected to your video feed. Simply click here on Sunday morning to join the service: Join the Worship Service
Let me end by saying, I see God already doing so much among us. He is growing us in our care for one another and our neighbours, and he is moving us to pray. The Lord knows the way. Let us hold onto him together.
