Take pause and turn your heart to Jesus in worship today.  He is making something beautiful, even in this moment.  May Melissa’s reflection and the song she sings draw you into worship today.

Reflection:

Beautiful Things...

Beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3).

Life from death.

What a paradox it seems... Yet we can observe this phenomenon everywhere.... tangibly, biologically, scientifically, symbolically...

(In what ways do you see this?)

“DEAD to sin, but ALIVE to God in Christ... “(Romans 6:11)

Letting go to fully embrace...

...new life.

“What does NEW life mean to you?”

New...

...not just perspective.

NEW

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)

A NEW heart.

A new IDENTITY.

Newness... creation...

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new CREATION. The old has passed away; behold, the NEW has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Seeing God as THE creative being... creative Force... creative Energy... Creator (with a capital “C”). Think of the possibilities...

What does that mean to you? What does that mean to you today, in this present moment? How about future moments... perhaps future moments that are being anticipated with dread, uncertainty... ?

What does that mean for old mind-sets, hardened hearts, destructive tendencies, circumstantial realities, spiritual indifference, tainted perceptions, dismal futures, broken pasts... distorted IDENTITIES... ?

What does that mean to how you see yourself?

What does that mean to your relationships?
What does that mean to your relationship with God – with Creator?

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:19)
