Chris and Angela Hiebert lead a team of 11 Alliance missionaries who are working in Mexico City.  The ministry has gone well and it is now the time for ALL the team members to finish up and transfer to another country of ministry- just like the familiar pattern that we see happening in the book of Acts.  So, over the next 3 years Chris and Angela will help their team mates redeploy and they themselves will eventually leave.

In the midst of this transition, the Hieberts have reached out to MCA with a specific ask.  They have requested that a small team be sent to help put together a retreat for their team.  The purpose of the retreat would be to step away from ministry, process together, and prepare for this season of transition together.  The Hieberts asked specifically for help with 1) people who would colead worship with Chris and Angela 2) people to help with Children's ministry for the kids of the missionaries 3) help design a way of processing all that is happening.

The Board of Elders have greenlighted the trip.  In response, we have put together a team which consists of Benj and Theresa Brandsma along with their daughters Zakaya and Vivianne as well as Ric and Ruth-Anne Gilbertson.  Together they will work with the Hieberts to design the retreat.

The tentative dates are March 19 to March 27, 2025.  More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
